Escama

Stools upholstered in reclaimed felt. Designed by Sofia Venetucci and produced in partnership with Virô, the ESCAMA collection explores new possibilities for textile use in furniture design, combining material reuse with research into construction methods, textures, and surfaces. The defining texture is built from hundreds of felt circles cut and layered over a metal frame, creating a dense, three-dimensional surface that recalls the organic overlap of scales. The felt itself comes from corporate events, where it served as temporary flooring; here, each piece carries traces of its first life. More than a covering, the upholstery is the project: a volumetric, expressive construction that proposes an expanded understanding of textile in furniture.
